RnD Project Coordinator

We at ASSA ABLOY GLOBAL SOLUTIONS Hospitality RnD Department are looking for a Project Coordinator that can help us coordinate our bigger initiatives within the RnD Department. 


We use Lean principles and Agile development methodologies based on SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework).

We work with product development from idea, concept, design, industrialization, verification and through launch. Our product development includes software, electronics, mechanics and test disciplines. 


The teams are in Stockholm and Landskrona, Sweden and Ski, Norway and they co-operate closely with each other.


Brief Job description:

The core function of the Project Coordinator is to oversee all aspects of a project and take a holistic approach to projects.

The RnD Project coordinators main responsibilities are

  • Make sure that different teams within a project cooperates flawless
  • Cooperate with the PM and POs
  • Be part of developing new strategies to improve the product and process
  • Be part of Technical/Solution discussions with the customer
  • Coordinate activities within certain products
  • See the holistic view of the project
  • Manage development plan per approved project including several product areas
  • Facilitate and leads project team meetings
  • Provide leadership that fosters effective, cohesive development teams. Guide others in resolving complex issues and recommend solutions/best practices.
  • Manage of one or more portfolios of inter-related projects
  • Monitor and control timeline, test and delivery
  • Collaborate with Product Owners and Product Managers and report accurate project status and escalate issues whenever they cannot be resolved within the team
  • Evaluate, develop, implement, and maintain appropriate project scheduling reporting and tracking system for all assigned projects


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Master or Bachelor degree
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience from software development or similar position
  • Good Business understanding in general
  • Good knowledge in Lean methodology and correlation with SAFe framework
  • Good understanding of test development and Continuous Integration
  • Leadership skills
  • Customer service skills
  • Good guiding, coaching and communication skills
  • Structured, focus while maintaining the overview
  • Very good skills in oral and written Scandinavian and English languages'
