The Area Sales Manager (ASM) - Modern Retail with focus on New Channels will be responsible in developing and managing the participation of ASSA ABLOY into the Appliance, SGC (Supermarket, Groceries, Convenience stores), and Online E-Commerce businesses. The role involves business development, sales management steering, distribution management, and internal collaboration within the company to successfully launch relevant product categories in these new channels. The objective is drive new business for the company and expand the horizon for relevant products with special focus on the Smart Residential product category, among others. The ASM may as well be assigned a legacy distribution account as the business so requires:





Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned:


  • Identify, process, and open new dealers/distributor/s as fulfilment partner/s for the assigned channel segments and steer account management pertinent to driving the business in achieving set ambition.


  • Create and Execute the Go-to-Market strategy for new channel entry and development in collaboration with key stakeholders.


  • Develop the processes and framework relevant to the set-up of assigned channels pertaining to sell-in, sell-through, and sell-out stages in distribution.


  • Achieve the periodic business parameters target set for the new business segment in sales, store participation/penetration, and market reach.


  • Steer and manage merchandising, trade activities, and sell-out programs.


  • Manage customer/account management relationships and conduct distribution management processes that drives business growth.


  • Conduct store/channel visits to include travels across the country as may be necessary in building channel expansion and the successful execution of sales and marketing plan/s.


  • Provide timely reports, updates, and presentations as may be required.





  • With demonstrable experience in modern retail distribution, sales, and merchandising management preferably in the Appliance, SGC, and Electronics channel segments.


  • Exhibits strong effective verbal and written communication, selling, and relevant marketing skill sets.


  • Effective in organization, time, and project management.


  • Experienced in cross-functional projects and initiatives as well as people management.


  • Has the willingness to travel out-base as may be required for business purposes (skill: licensed driver).


  • Strong skills in Office applications, i.e. Excel, PPT, among others.
