Your Opportunity:

It will be your mission to support the organization by assisting in the financial responsibilities for the day to day management of its key functions; including preparing and maintaining financial records to track the organizations assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, payroll, and other related financial activities.  You will be responsible for preparing accurate monthly P&L, accounts and other sales & financial reporting in a suitable format for internal records and submission to the UK for incorporation into the ASSA ABLOY financial reporting.

You are a self-motivated and trustworthy with strong organizational skills and the ability to work on your own initiative, along with excellent written and oral English skills.

You will be comfortable working in a highly dynamic environment and able to multi-task, with a Team player attitude who will work closely with other departments. You will also have the ability to prioritize workloads and tasks, along with excellent attention to detail.

 

 

Functional Competencies:

  • Perform general cost accounting and other related duties for the organization.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
  • Maintain the general ledger.
  • Code invoices, sets up new accounts, reconciles accounts, and closes the monthly books.
  • Reconcile bank accounts at least monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks.
  • Reconcile cash disbursement accounts, payroll, customer accounts, and other financial accounts; manages accounts receivable collections.
  • Verify and/or complete payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensure payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.
  • Provide outside auditors with assistance; gather necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
  • File sales tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies.
  • Coordinate with software vendor to maintain accounting software systems; recommends updates to enhance the accounting software.
  • Manage the purchasing and invoicing system.
  • Maintain knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to various programmatic efforts within all Traka Systems.
  • Be extremely detail oriented and have strong administrative and communication skills.
  • Uphold Traka USA's outstanding reputation for delivering superior customer service in order to retain market edge over competitor products and services.

Essential skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, or related field, required.
  • 3+ years financial administrative experience.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills and continuous improvement process skills.
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
  • Excellent organization skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel.
  • Good working knowledge of QuickBooks.
  • Experience in using and maintaining accounting package.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work individually, unsupervised and as part of a fast moving organization and team.
  • Capability to prioritize multiple tasks and critically think through complex situations.
  • Ability to follow operational procedures and work to strict project deadlines.

 

Desirable skills:

  • Ability to work at a desk for long periods of time.
  • Ability to communicate with and work with operations team as needed in the warehouse for the purpose of reconciliation and order validation. i.e. inventory, order processing, etc.
  • Answer phones in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft Office products.

  • Normal, corrective vision range; ability to see color and to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
  • Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, bend and reach.

  • Ability to sit and/or work on your feet for up to 8 hours per day.
  • Ability to travel and sit on a plane or car for extended hours as needed.
