We are a growing multinational technical security company based in Austin, TX that offers its employees a fun work environment, flexibility, and career opportunity.

This position will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical and mechanical building systems and infrastructure. Ranging from simple task to complex projects.  Provide daily technical support of multiple departments in a Class A office space as well as manufacturing environment. Schedule, escort and support vendors and external contractors as needed to provide on-going support of operations at 244,000 sq. ft. facility in Austin, TX.

What you will be doing

  • Day-to-day operational support of facilities
  • Perform facility repairs and maintenance for internal customers including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, painting, and general maintenance.
  • Plan, organize and prioritize work orders and planned preventive maintenance.
  • Assist in development and monitoring of facilities tools, equipment, and processes.
  • Supports vendors and contractors for inspections and on site repairs.  Provide escort duty as needed.
  • Work within the Safety protocol of HID Global while participating in all aspects of Safety.
  • Provide feedback to department on process improvements and increasing operational efficiency
  • Support all site emergency preparedness and response efforts.
  • Participate in furniture moving and event set up including chairs, tables, tents, and any temporary structures necessary for special occasions.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
  • All other duties assigned

What we are looking for    

  • Excellent troubleshooting and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems and Facilities operations
  • Proficient use of hand and power tools.
  • Familiar with Computer Managed Maintenance Systems and procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, schematics, blue prints, and as-built drawings.
  • Knowledge of applicable regulations related to EH&S and OSHA compliance.
  • Two year degree in technically related field desired or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum five years of maintenance experience in a commercial building.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
