The Manager of Information/Cyber Security is responsible for protecting ASSA ABLOY Americas' computers, networks, and data against threats, such as security breaches, computer viruses or attacks by cyber-criminals. This role provides the enterprise with a clear understanding of the challenges of information security that ASSA ABLOY must face and the leadership (analytical and problem-solving) to define the strategy and plans to address these challenges. The individual in this role will work across all levels of the organization in identifying and implementing appropriate security measures. The role requires someone extremely hand's on, highly collaborative and willing to dig into the details to envision and implement security solutions in partnership with other ASSA ABLOY IT professionals and 3rd party organizations.

 

Primary responsibilities:

 

  • Provide leadership, manage, and provide guidance to the IT security team, collaborate and support the global security team, and direct security vendors supporting the program.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key business stakeholders, such as Legal, Audit and Compliance teams in pursuit of achieving business objections as it relates to security and data compliance.
  • Develop, refine, and ensure compliance with a set of security-related policies, processes/procedures, and standards.
  • Identify, assess, and prioritize threats based on possible impact, system vulnerabilities, and probability of occurrence. For higher priority threats, develop and implement security/mitigation measures.
  • Respond immediately to security related incidents; Lead/coordinate investigations for security-related incidents and provide a thorough post-event analysis.
  • Lead/participate in security assessments and audits.
  • Develop and implement IT security performance measures/metrics and regularly report on the status of the IT Security Program.
  • Administer the IT Security budget and lead IT Security procurement activities.
  • Assess, test, and select new security products and technologies; Provide security requirements and assessment for IT related projects.
  • Function as subject matter expert on IT security; and consult and provide security-related guidance/recommendations to internal customers (i.e. business units) / stake holders.
  • Coordinate with and provide security-related guidance within the overall IT team (e.g. operations, applications, infrastructure, and compliance).
  • Provide leadership and oversight for security related initiatives.
  • Strong experience with security operations, security event and incident management, and vulnerability management

 

Key qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science from an accredited college
  • 5+ years in managing a complex infrastructure team with On-premise and cloud model
  • 5+ years in progressively sophisticated roles in information security, coupled with demonstrable experience in various cybersecurity domains, including risk management, compliance, security strategy, security engineering, and/ or operations.
  • 3+ years developing security programs by reviewing existing programs; conducting comprehensive reviews of threats; evaluating and analyzing relevant data points.
  • 3+ years architecting and designing security solutions (SIEM, IDS, etc.).
  • 3+ years developing information security policies, procedures, and practices.
  • 3+ years formulating executive level recommendations related to information security strategy.
  • Demonstrated experience developing incident response plans and procedures.
  • The candidate must demonstrate proven success in working in a team as well as independently and exhibit follow-through to understand root causes of issues.

 

Additional preferred qualifications:

 

  • Security certifications (CISSP, CISA, CISM, GIAC, OSCP) a plus
  • Master's degree

 

Travel requirement:

 

  • Up to 30% (Domestic and International)
