Critical Infrastructure within ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions is expanding and establishing a new business unit in Scandinavia. We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join us and further develop and grow the Critical Infrastructure business in Sweden. We offer an exciting position in a global and industry leading company with skilled and professional colleagues, with opportunity to grow your competence and skills. Getting in at an early stage there is an opportunity to take on a more leading role as the team grows.


The role will be based in Sweden (Stockholm region) with hybrid working possibilities. Business travel in Sweden is required with a possible occasional trip to Denmark or Norway. 


What would you do as a Business Development Manager

  • Drive aggressive revenue growth and profitable business in Critical Infrastructure verticals in the Swedish market
  • Development and execution of the regional growth plans to reach organic growth targets
  • Develop new key customers and distribution network
  • Build and maintain relationships to key market influencers and interest groups
  • Develop strong relationship with customers
  • Grow and further develop existing accounts in order to broaden the existing product and solution mix
  • Understand market trends and opportunities to develop initiatives and strategies to take advantage of these trends
  • Drive recurring revenue growth in the region
  • Develop and maintain project pipeline
  • Provide monthly project forecasting
  • Achieve annual sales growth in line with regional strategic plan
  • Keep all commercial opportunities, projects and customer information up to date in CRM.
  • Manage regular reports in line with group requirements

The skills and experience you need

  • At least Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business or related
  • A proven track record of sales and business development within the Professional End User market and System Integrator/Access Control market
  • Previous experience of Critical Infrastructure Verticals is desirable
  • Knowledge of value-sales process to build up successful business cases, and ability to translate user information into a compelling investment decision, leading to closing of orders
  • Ability to develop and implement commercial strategies, meeting company goals and objectives
  • Leadership experience is desirable
  • Excellent communication and negotiating skills delivered with diplomatic and firm convictions
  • Self-motivated, and with the ability to plan and organize a demanding work load efficiently and effectively
  • Competent with MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of Salesforce CRM and Microsoft ERP systems is desirable
  • Fluent in Swedish and English, both written and spoken; Danish and Norwegian proficiency is desirable
