Director, Business Development Health Systems, GPOs and Networks

Responsible for the development of strategic National Healthcare Systems, Group Purchasing Organizations and Networks accounts. Primary responsibilities include developing business with the Top 20 Healthcare systems and networks.  Collaborate with field sales (DSS) offices to develop strategic account plans with each system and network.  Identify growth opportunities with accounts with existing ASSA ABLOY business and also develop and execute plans for penetration into new accounts.  Develop high level relationships with C-Suite decision makers and close national agreements specific to drive revenue growth for ASSA ABLOY products.    
This position reports to the Vice President of Marketing & Business Development in New Haven, CT.  In addition, this role will work closely with other business development teams including military & government for VA Hospitals, as well as multi-family housing team for integration into the assisted living market.  This role will also work closely with other ASSA ABLOY sales teams including HID, Entrance Systems, Integrated Solutions Specialists, and DSS architectural and end user sales. 
  • Develop and leverage relationships at the C-Suite level with target accounts. 
  • Lead a cross-functional team to develop and leverage the ASSA ABLOY value proposition in Healthcare. 
  • Develop and document key account plans for each of the Top 20 systems and networks and work with Door Security Solutions sales offices for implementation and management. 
  • Collaborate with the Door Security Solutions sales and distribution teams to drive overall market growth in healthcare. 
  • Identify and communicate any product gaps in the healthcare market 
  • Develop and propose business plans based on the changing needs in the Healthcare Market 
  • BA/BS in a related field; MBA preferred 
  • 10+ years of strategic national accounts sales experience.  Experience in healthcare systems and assisted living a plus. 
  • Building products experience strongly preferred.  Knowledge of commercial doors and hardware a plus. 
  • Experience in strategic account planning and implementation 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Strong executive presence to represent the company professionally 
  • Ability to work effectively independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 
  • Ability to influence and track multiple projects concurrently 
  • Ability to travel 40 to 50%
